We needed somewhere to sleep at short notice, late at night, and they gave us a code to get into a room. It wasn't modern, but it had what we needed. The service was great and the price very reasonable. Breakfast was simple but magnificent, just what I wanted: coffee and French bread, plus fruit and yoghurt.

The bed was really comfortable, and the room had everything you need, including a coffee machine, microwave, fridge, and fan. There were a couple of cracked tiles in the bathroom, but otherwise it was a nice place.

The staff at Hotel de la Paix were incredibly helpful. They even posted something I'd left behind to me in England. It's a cracking little hotel in Albert, well placed for exploring the WW1 battlefields. Prices were very reasonable, and breakfast was nice. Thank you!

I spotted what looked like saliva inside my burger when I checked it more closely. Before that, the waiter and I had a disagreement as I arrived.

After a long drive from the south, this was a very disappointing stop. There was no hot water, and the shower and bedroom sink smelled of drains. The toilet had some sort of engine fitted that made random noises at night. The service was grumpy, the place was very overpriced, and there were unfriendly signs saying none of the staff speak any English. I didn't ask! Thankfully, we only stayed the one night. I certainly wouldn't recommend it.
