Maison Aguerria

Patrick and I came back to the French Basque Country for our second visit and had another fantastic time. Elsie and Micha made us feel so welcome, and their thoughtful hosting never felt like too much trouble. They find lovely restaurants for their guests year after year, and start every morning with a delicious breakfast. We’re leaving with another beautiful memory and lots of affection for this warm, welcoming place. Much love, Patrick and Claudine

Elsie and Micha went out of their way for us, always ready to help, and Micha gave us useful tips for day trips. The B&B is tucked into a beautiful, quiet setting, with lots to explore nearby. We had a different restaurant every evening, and the food was varied and delicious. Our room was lovely, spotless and well looked after, and each day began with a generous breakfast made fresh for us. We had a wonderful week and definitely want to come back. Wilfried and Mieke

Relaxing in the Basque Country felt easy here. Elsie and Micha give you helpful local information in a warm, personal way, without pushing it, and are around if you need them. The brochure really does match what you find when you arrive. Each morning starts with a carefully prepared breakfast. The rooms are tidy, and the house has thoughtful details throughout. A quick chat gives you a chance to ask about your plans for the day, then you can head out and explore. At dinner, the focus on local suppliers comes through clearly and makes for a varied meal. You can finish the evening on the lovely terrace with a drink or a chat with the other guests. Nothing is required, and we had a great holiday with the fun couples who booked the same package. Highly recommended!

We loved the package, especially the range of typical Basque restaurants. Elsie and Micha, we had a fantastic week at your Maison Aguerria. Your daily suggestions for places to go and things to do were excellent, and it was a relief to let you plan things instead of having to search ourselves. The room was clean, breakfast brought a new surprise each day, and we enjoyed the pool and the beautiful Basque Country. Great company made the week even better. Thanks, and see you again.
