The garden chickens reminded me of home, and I loved that. Our room was spacious, with an ensuite dining area. There was a microwave and kettle available, just remember to bring your own mugs.

We were seven, as we'd told them, but the beds were made up for only six. The rooms were dirty, with black light switches, and the supposed non-smoking room smelled strongly of cigarettes. There was noise all night and no soundproofing at all. The host refused online payment and wouldn't let us into the room, insisting on the exact amount in an envelope. It was 10 PM, and we were travelling with four young children. This is the worst rental I've ever stayed in. Shameful!
