Le Relais du Garavet

Meals are very reasonably priced, and the cook, Lidy, is a real culinary artist. Franck and the team make you feel at home and do their best to meet everyone's needs. The karaoke and concert nights are lively and make you want to dance and have fun. I highly recommend the place. Thanks to Franck, Julien, and Kathleen for being so kind and professional.

The owners are wonderful, and this feels like a real traditional family business. The room is comfortable, though it isn't a 5-star hotel, which is fair at such an attractive price. I wish I'd called them directly instead of booking through Booking.com, so don't hesitate to do that. Breakfast is the classic spread of Senseo coffee, pastries, and fresh bread. We ate dinner there twice in four days. The service and homemade food were both high quality, and the value was excellent at 15 euros per person. We had a very pleasant stay.

The room was clean, with comfortable bedding and a spacious bathroom. This year I had a bathtub, which I preferred to last year's smaller shower room. The welcome was adequate, and breakfast was good. The old stairs need care. There wasn't much natural light or many electrical outlets, which seemed like a cost-saving choice. I'd recommend it for a night.

The Relais du Garavet has the same managers for its hotel and restaurant. I had the 13 euro daily menu on the terrace and really enjoyed it, especially the dessert. The staff were friendly and helpful, and everything is fresh and homemade, including their couscous. There's parking, access for people with reduced mobility, and accessible toilets. There's also a pleasant little beach behind the place and a station for camper vans close by. The road beside the terrace is a shame, a small barrier would be welcome. I'll definitely come back.
