Vacanceole Residence Central Park

The residence is very close to both the ski station and the centre, which is its main advantage. The building and room interiors are quite old. Underground parking costs extra; street parking is free if you're lucky enough to find a spot. If being near the ski station isn't a priority, I'd look at other residences.

A big improvement since a few years ago. This is excellent accommodation for a holiday, right in the middle of Foux d'Allos with the slopes and shops close by.

The accommodation is good value overall, and we'll come back sometime. The furniture and equipment were good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The ski area is nearby. There was animal hair on several blankets, unfortunately.

The bed hygiene was especially awful: there was a false eyelash, hair, and even a used cotton swab in the sheets. I have photos. Tobacco smoke had also soaked into the whole apartment. We asked to move rooms but were told none were available. The only response was an acknowledgement that, yes, it smelled of cigarettes, without any real solution. The veranda was the only thing repaired during our stay. The apartment hadn't been cleaned before we arrived. The floor was dirty and everything felt neglected. Furniture and fittings were broken or unsafe: a radiator was lying on the floor without its cover, the TV was hanging off the wall, some lights didn't work, and the veranda didn't close properly and could be accessed from outside. The bedspreads and curtains had holes, and the walls were covered in stains. The towel rack came loose with a large nail, which was particularly dangerous with our 18-month-old baby. Between the poor hygiene, the condition of the apartment, and the lack of any real response, we were extremely disappointed.
