Dinner at the guesthouse was really good, warm and homey. The house itself is gorgeous, with old and new details put together so thoughtfully, and our host was friendly. Breakfast was quite basic, though you could pay extra for things like eggs or cheese. We stayed just one night and would happily come back.
Marc brought champagne and snacks to our room when we arrived, a lovely welcome. Our huge bedroom had a fire blazing, which made the chilly night much more comfortable. The farmhouse has been in his family for four generations. It was rebuilt in the 80s after a fire destroyed it and most of the homes on that street, and it still has plenty of rustic charm alongside the newer touches. We felt welcomed like family, and Marc was very accommodating. Le Benedictine is only a short walk away, and it was the best restaurant ever. Don’t miss this place!
We had a delicious dinner cooked by the owner and served at a beautifully set table in the pretty courtyard. A delightful place, with a lovely room and bathroom.
The host was charming and the cooking exquisite. This old tobacco farm has a really unique look, mixing its historic building with an ultra chic bohemian style. Amazing value, too.
Mark made us feel important and clearly pays attention to the little details. He’s a wonderful person, and the house is wonderful too. Staying here was a real pleasure, highly recommended.
