The bedrooms face a busy road, and in the morning it feels like being beside a highway. The apartment itself had a musty smell throughout. The sheets and towels were awful: some smelled used and seemed not to have been washed, while others may have been run through a 15-minute cycle and left damp. The towels were grey and thin, with large brown marks. I wouldn't have used them for a dog. The kitchen towel smelled like it had been used to mop the floor and left half-dry. That smell triggers my migraines, and I got one. I couldn't believe it. We paid extra for the linen and towels, and I wouldn't do that again. We asked for fresh linen, but they took it away and returned the same set, saying they'd dried and freshened it a little more in the dryer. At first we thought the cleaning staff had simply forgotten to change it. I've worked as a cleaner for over 25 years, so I know the difference between washed and unwashed, and between white and grey. We saw the laundry room too, and it was unhygienic.

We've been to this beautiful place twice, and it was fantastic both times. "La marine d'opale" is warm, clean, cozy, and friendly, just right for relaxing. Many thanks to this family-run little Neverland 😍

We put our crew up here while filming our series in Ambleteuse in February 2025, and the apartments worked really well. They were warm, clean, and laid out nicely, and even the ones facing the road or parking lot were very quiet. The welcome was perfect, and the value for money was excellent. We'd happily return for another shoot. Thanks to the whole team. Roxane BANIJAY STUDIOS FRANCE
