Holiday Inn Express Amiens by IHG

The attached public underground car park was clean and well lit. The rooms were clean, though small, and the breakfast area was reasonable. From here it's about a five-minute walk to the main shopping street, the cathedral and the river with its restaurants. The hotel is right by the railway station, making it a good base for Amiens or trips to the WW1 Somme battlefields. The lift is small, so a large group arriving can mean a long wait. Gluten-free breakfast choices are limited.

Breakfast had lots of choice and was excellent, and the rooms were comfortable and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful too. It's an easy walk to the station, city center, old town and museums, and good value for a visit to the city. I'd recommend staying here.

The breakfast was awful. They kept replacing cups, plates and cutlery, but there was nothing to put on them, not even a baguette, and we'd already waited 20 minutes. Someone needs to get things organized. Reception was helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. But one full caff coffee pod in a double room is a bit much.

The room coffee machine was a nice touch, and the rooms were small but comfortable. Compared with other Holiday Inn Express hotels we've stayed in, this one wasn't as nice. The shower wasn't great because of the eco head. Breakfast was adequate, but there were eggs and no bacon or sausages. Would I stay again? Probably, since it's central and the underground parking was only €9.
