The location is good, but inside the apartment needs renovation and a proper clean. The tablecloth was very dirty, there were cobwebs, and the dishwasher hadn’t been emptied when we arrived. Several fittings seemed amateurishly done and partly faulty. It really needs major work, which is a shame since I didn’t think to take pictures. At least we only had breakfast there and didn’t eat other meals in the apartment.

We spent three relaxing days here at a fair price, enjoying the Christmas atmosphere in the nearby villages, and would return if we get the chance. The accommodation has a vintage feel, with lots of space, a warm welcome, quiet surroundings, and good heating for anyone who feels the cold. Parking right in front was convenient, and there was everything we needed to prepare meals. The hill views were lovely, and the location worked well for visiting nearby villages and getting to Strasbourg.

We stayed in the ground-floor apartment. It’s in a very quiet town, well placed for driving around, and parking in front of the house was easy. The place is a little dated, but it worked well for sleeping and had what we needed. Heating and shower hot water were both great, and there were a microwave and kitchen utensils for making dinner. The owner sent the entry code and instructions quickly before we arrived. My one complaint was the pillow, which we found pretty awful. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

The village is lovely, and we had a wonderful time in this peaceful spot. We spent little time indoors because we were out enjoying the area. The owner communicated really well and replied quickly. There’s a washing machine downstairs in the hall that I could use if needed.

The place was well kept and in a lovely little village, with a good location, so it could have earned five stars. The owner had said we could use his two bikes, including an electric one, but by the next day he’d taken the battery off that bike, so it couldn’t be used, and it wasn’t great anyway. The brochure said to return the keys between 10 and 10:30 a.m. Since we’d done a bit of cleaning, we set an alarm to be ready the day after New Year’s Day. At 10:45, nobody had called to say we could take our time. That felt pretty average, especially after New Year’s Day. He could have let us know there was no rush.
