Le Domaine Des Lys

The staff were genuinely pleasant and did a good job, and the place was quiet. But it didn’t feel like what I expect from a four-star hotel. The furniture is old, and the room decorations are tacky. Breakfast was poor, with dry mini croissants, no ham or cheese, and coffee from an espresso machine. It’s an okay stop for business, but I wouldn’t expect anything special.

The building is beautiful, and the rooms were a good standard. Still, with hardly anyone around and the restaurant and bar closed, the place felt more like a wedding or conference venue. They had told us about the closure in advance.

The room was very dirty and full of insects, and the price didn’t match the quality. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The staff were very polite, though, and the restaurant next to reception was very good.

I really enjoyed the hospitality and the restaurant at Domaine des lys, and the rooms were great. The bed was too hard for my back, though. I understand that one bed can’t suit everyone.
