The service and welcome were pleasant, but I won't return for the food. For 45 euros, the set menu had no choices. The foie gras was tasty and generously served, though the yellow nectarine marmalade added nothing. The duck breast was really only half a breast, served with a few boiled vegetables. It had been cooked ahead and fried again in a pan, and nobody asked how I wanted it cooked. We got four cheeses said to have been selected by a cheese expert, though I could maybe believe that about two of them. Dessert was strawberries blended with a mint leaf, given the name “minty strawberry velouté of the moment.” I didn't find any creativity or modernity in the meal. And then there were the shouts from the kitchen.

We booked through a Wonderbox gift voucher and were never told that the pool was out of order, which was a real disappointment for the children. The reception area smelled strongly of diesel, and the room didn't deserve even a 2-star rating. The manager, or whoever seems to be handling everything, came across as completely unprofessional. It felt like he deliberately kept information from us in advance so he could charge extra the next day. There was no transparency, and he gave all this to us with a sneering smile he never dropped. Listing a place like this is outrageous. Avoid it. Surely there are more welcoming, authentic places in the area.

I was there on business for one night, and it turned into one of the worst nights of my life. Heating oil from the boiler stank through the hallways and into the room. I had to open the window, and it gave me a headache. The bedding was poor, and trucks made a lot of noise from 6:00 AM. The soundproofing was awful. A bad experience.
