The meal Madame prepared was a real highlight, and she made sure my wife had excellent gluten-free options. The local wines were great too, and breakfast had plenty of tasty French-style items. We also enjoyed the hosts' care and the well-designed attic rooms, which suited the chateau-like building beautifully. The house sits in lovely surroundings near the Rhône. The trouble was the heat. Our room's air conditioning had broken, and the replacement unit was loud and unpleasant. We had to switch it off at night and leave the window open, but a party next door kept us from sleeping well. We told the host and weren't offered any compensation, even a small gesture. We still had a very nice stay and would be glad to try again. In hot weather, though, it would be worth checking that the air conditioning works.

A strange, surreal experience. The hostess showed little hospitality, hurried through the orientation, and gave us a long list of rules about what not to do. The 5 pm check-in and 10:30 am checkout were also unusually restrictive and inconvenient.

The family who owns this place were very kind, and we’d happily recommend it. It’s right on the ViaRhôna, making it a great stop to rest and freshen up during a bike tour. The house’s peacock was another highlight, though it can get a little loud early in the morning.

The host was pleasant, but I wasn't sure the owners really enjoy having guests. The hostess hesitated to lend us a corkscrew for half a minute, saying they sell wine, which surprised us. The breakfast was modest, and the washing machine was listed as available, though cobwebs around it suggested otherwise. The place could be great, but it felt cluttered rather than rustic. Check-in at 5 pm and checkout at 10:30 am are rigid, and the air conditioning didn't work.

A quiet, spacious place for an overnight stop on the Paris to Nice drive. We had tasty food, and the pool was a nice way to unwind after a long journey. The owners offer dinner for 15-25 euros, so there's no need to go looking for a restaurant.
