Our room, La Pigeonneir, was at the top of this charming Angers city-centre B&B. The owners have done a great job turning a medieval building into a hotel, and the room was spacious. We had no trouble with the loft bed arrangement. The weather was perfect during our visit, though there was a fan/air conditioning by the bed for hot days. Do take the staircase seriously when deciding what luggage to bring. It's a real medieval staircase, as other reviews say. Going down was easier, and on arrival the owner kindly carried one of our large suitcases up for us, which was especially appreciated after an overnight flight from the United States. Our room faced the back of the building, so noise wasn't an issue and we slept wonderfully. The location is convenient for everything in Angers. We'd recommend it as our number one choice for a stay here.

The care put into the rooms is obvious. They're immaculate, spacious, and clean, and breakfast is served in the kitchen with homemade apple juice and yogurt. There's also a remarkable 14C staircase leading upstairs. This B&B is in one of Angers' 40 medieval houses, built around 1580. It was restored as a home some time ago, then Joanna and her husband turned it into a B&B about 7 years ago. It really feels like a labour of love. Angers has plenty to see, including the 14th Century Apocalypse tapestries in the Castle.

Joanne was great, and we felt lucky to get the chance to stay in such a wonderful building. I'd give it 6 stars if I could.

Johanna was incredibly kind and accommodating, and breakfast was delicious. The rooms were super comfortable, with a fantastic bathroom, and the building itself is beautiful, tastefully redecorated. This place is amazing. If I could give it 6 stars, I would, and I'll recommend it to anyone who asks.

We had a lovely night at L’Oiselerie. The building is stunning, and the interior has been modernized with great taste. Our room and bed were both very comfortable. Breakfast was generous, delicious, and authentically French. Thanks for the hospitality, it was a delight. I'd highly recommend booking directly through their website.
