The staff were really helpful, and I’d definitely recommend our room with its balcony. It’s a fantastic little hotel, very close to the station, which is handy when you’re carrying heavy luggage.

I was extremely disappointed. The room was tiny and had no AC. With the window open, strong food smells from the kitchen or bakery came in from the middle of the night, and it had to stay open because there was no AC. All that for 180€. Disgraceful.

The location was great, but the lack of AC really spoiled things. Angers gets up to 30 something degrees, so I don’t understand how a hotel there can go without it. The staff were very nice and gave us a tiny fan, but it was almost impossible to sleep. It’s a shame. They say on Booking’s that there’s no AC, but it isn’t clear: the facilities section just says “fan.” Given the size of the one they provided, I’d be embarrassed to call that a facility.

The breakfast was generous, with a continental selection, and all the staff were smiling. Special mention to the cheerful woman at breakfast! This small hotel is tastefully renovated, with colorful, cozy rooms and all the comforts you could need. It’s centrally located opposite the train station, with restaurants, bars, and snack bars nearby. The old town center and its magnificent castle are a short walk away. I highly recommend it.
