The building is in a red zone where parking is prohibited, and the authorities (prefecture) advised against coming because floodwaters were rising and the area had been recognized as a natural disaster. Our train was cancelled, so we let the owner know we had to cancel. The place may be comfortable, but the owner showed no response to that official advice. We weren't offered compensation or credit, and 215 euros were not refunded. I don't recommend it. So much for business.

The apartment was amazing, maintained meticulously down to the smallest detail, and the location is right in the city center. Anger is a beautiful, pleasant city that you can explore in a day or a day and a half. The cathedral and center are lovely, and the evenings are lively and cheerful. We skipped the castle because we'd already had plenty of the Loire castles, though I think it would be worth seeing. Parking is free and convenient, about a 10-minute walk across the river. Following the blue route marked with a continuous line on the sidewalk takes you around every corner of the center. The small island of Behard (that should be the right name) nearby is also worth a visit, with suggested trails for an afternoon stroll. They may also mention the adjacent Savonnerie (or something like that), about a kilometer away. Don't waste your time there.
