The host was charming and gave us great tips for Paris, since he used to be Parisian. We also loved how bike friendly the place was: our bikes were covered and kept behind locked doors. On arrival we were treated to tea and chocolates. The bed was lovely, the bathroom elegant, and the towel warmers were a nice touch. There was even a walk-in closet for our things. Breakfast was fresh and homemade, with excellent tea choices for me and the best coffee my husband has ever had. A wonderful stay in Angers.

The interior is beautiful, with attention paid to the smallest details. Our host was welcoming and attentive, and happy to tell us more about Angers. The host also sells delicious honey they've harvested themselves. I'd gladly come back to Angers and stay here again.

The guest lounge was a highlight, especially its amazing library. We enjoyed browsing the photographs Monsieur Buss took, which were featured in several published books. The bedrooms were lovely too, and breakfast was delicious. We spent a lovely time at Chambre de Mathilde with two good friends. Monsieur and Madame Buss made all of us feel welcome, suggested a great restaurant for dinner and created a lovely atmosphere. Thank you very much. Mr and Mrs Hodson/Mayhew
