Atipik Hôtel

The staff were wonderfully friendly and around whenever we needed help, and breakfast was decent with a good spread: continental options, fresh bean-to-cup coffee, juice, cereal, cold cuts, bread and toast, cheese, and yogurt. Our room, number 18, was on a corner with two windows overlooking a canal. The tea and coffee setup was good, and the bed was okay, though it could use a proper new mattress. The TV remote was almost as big as the screen. There's no lift. The location is fantastic, very close to the train station, lake, and town center. The bathroom, though, was ridiculous. The toilet was squeezed between the wall and shower screen, with the toilet paper holder in the way. The bathroom floor was cracked and coming up, and looked cheap and nasty. Shower pressure was poor, and the water was only warm at best. Glad we only stayed one night.

Atipik Hotel is perfectly placed, about five minutes from the train station and five minutes from the beautiful lake, with plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. Since it was my first time in Annecy, the location mattered a lot. The team deserve six stars for being upbeat, kind, and so helpful. Special thanks to Martin, my superhero: when the original room felt too cold in weather I hadn't expected, he moved me to a warmer one right away. I'd read earlier reviews about noise, but that's part of living in a historic building. I lived in a Victorian house and could hear my neighbors all the time, so it wasn't an issue for me. I highly recommend Hotel Atipik to anyone wanting to explore Annecy.

I felt really comfortable here as a woman traveling alone, and I'd gladly stay again. The hotel is a short walk from the bus and train station, then just around the corner from the Old Town. The staff were so kind and even helped with my luggage, including all my ski gear. I was also grateful that I could leave my bags there before and after my stay. The bed was very comfortable, and I liked the little canal view. The bathroom was nice and clean, though I wish the shower got hotter.

The room was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated, and the staff were really kind and accommodating. Lovely little view too. It's on a main road, which is handy for taxis, close to the train station, and still within walking distance of everything.
