Le Studio

Barbara, Dora, and Eloi gave us such a warm welcome. The gîte was immaculate and very quiet at night, and we ate wonderfully there. Barbara and her mother Dora are excellent cooks, and breakfast was perfect. We could park our car on the property, and the bike path is very close. We have no complaints at all and would recommend the gîte without hesitation. If we return to Annecy, we’ll go straight back to the CATARINA. Best of luck to all three of you with your lovely projects!

Bárbara met us at the building entrance and was very friendly, explaining the keys, amenities, and how to return them. Communication with management was easy, and they offered all the help they could. The apartment is on the ground floor by the river, about a 10-minute walk from the town center and 11 minutes from the train station. It’s open plan apart from the bathroom, with an entrance area, dining space, living room, and kitchen. The living room has a pull-out bed that becomes a bedroom. It’s charmingly decorated and has plenty of amenities. The bathroom is small but comfortable and complete, with a shower, natural light from an interior patio, good water pressure, and hot water that comes quickly. Coffee and sugar are provided, which is handy for a short stay, but you need to buy your own food, including things like butter, jam, and oil. There’s a full set of small appliances, including a toaster, kettle, microwave, and oven, though we only had breakfast there and didn’t use them much. It can be a little noisy during the day, but we were only there at night and had no problem. The heating was useful in winter, but the tiled floor was very cold. We don’t travel with slippers, and our usual socks weren’t enough, so we had to keep our shoes on. Highly recommended.

Barbara, our contact, was very helpful whenever we had questions. The apartment was as it appeared in the website photos, and had everything needed to feel at home. It’s in a very quiet area, about a 15-minute walk from the busy city center. The only thing I missed was natural light, though the artificial lighting was good.

Barbara gave us a warm welcome, and parking was available. The studio was spotless and peaceful, with everything close by and within walking distance. We had an excellent stay and highly recommend it!
