The rooms were clean and had everything I needed, and the people were friendly and relaxed. There are plenty of places to eat and shop right outside. The hotel is just outside Geneva, with an easy train connection.

A good choice for a short visit. The room was clean, a decent size, and had useful facilities. It's a safe area for solo travelers, close to restaurants and shops, and the train station is only a five-minute walk away, with easy access to Geneva.

The location made getting around easy. Annemasse train station is about a five-minute walk away, Geneva Airport takes roughly 45-60 minutes depending on connections, and you can reach Evian-les-Bains in about 40 minutes in the other direction. The neighborhood is diverse, with restaurants, bars, and shops nearby, plus a Monoprix across the street for groceries. My room was larger than I expected, with a separate kitchen behind a door. The website picture suggested the kitchen would be part of the bedroom area. It was very clean, and had everything I needed: an electric kettle, two-burner induction stove, full-size refrigerator, mini dishwasher, microwave, and what looked like an American-style standard coffee maker. There were plates, cups, glasses, silverware, and pots and pans, too. Laundry machines are available on the floor. It was hot, so the tower fan was essential. I would have taken off half a star for the lack of climate control in the heat and the strong cologne smell when I checked in, but the weather had been unusually warm everywhere, and opening the windows cleared the smell easily. The TV and channel selection were great. I also used its USB-C port to charge my external battery bank after forgetting an adapter and not knowing whether to buy an EU or Swiss one. The hotel has French Type-E outlets, which also accept Type-C plugs. If you're traveling between Switzerland and taking trains, a Type-C plug should work for both if you don't have a universal adapter. For US visitors looking for French skincare, the local Pharmacie selection isn't as broad as in larger cities and is generally more expensive. I happened to pass Parashop Annemasse. It's a beauty-products shop, not a pharmacy, so it won't show up in a Google Maps search for "Pharmacie." I'd shop there first for the best selection and prices on well-known French beauty brands in the area.

I want to thank Miss Xahira for helping me when I was stranded with my luggage. The hotel I'd booked hadn't sent instructions for getting into my room on Saturday night, June 21, 2025. When I arrived at Appart City, Miss Xahira had just finished her shift, but stayed late to help sort things out. Thanks to her, I was able to stay at Appart City from Saturday evening through the morning of Monday, June 23, 2025. She took away all my stress by resolving the problem.
