The pizza was out of this world! The new owners said they’d opened at the end of March, and they’re such sweet people. The bread was really fresh too. Definitely check out the bakery if you’re passing through Lac de Castillon.

We had a really enjoyable after-dinner evening with the owners and some other guests who were staying overnight. The owners are very friendly and welcoming, and they’re in the middle of reopening. We ate there this week and had great steaks. The side vegetables had a secret ingredient. I didn’t look at the vegetarian menu.

The setting and scenery are nice, but lunch wasn’t a good experience. I ordered a croque-monsieur and got toast that was barely cooked. See photo.

A handy, pleasant place to stop while you’re on the road. The people are welcoming. The food is more like fast food, with not much choice, but it’s easy to grab something quickly and carry on to your destination.
