Comfort Aparthotel Antibes Le Maestria

I was on my own for 10 days after I couldn’t book the same hotel as my friends. It was my first time booking an apartment or hotel, and the reviews had me worried, but those concerns disappeared once I arrived. The front desk team, Virginie, Colleen, Sara and Clara, were so welcoming. They answered all my questions with a smile. My room was clean, with no carpet, a modern bathroom stocked with what I needed, and great air conditioning. My friends weren’t as lucky with their hotel. Housekeeping comes every 5 days to clean, restock, and change the sheets and towels. They were very pleasant, and you can ask if you need anything between visits. And for fellow germaphobes who want to know, I didn’t find bedbugs. It was a great experience, and I’d recommend it.

There’s plenty of parking, though the NCE highway runs right behind the place. In general, it works well for a short holiday or a business trip. Breakfast was poor.

The staff really did try to help by moving us to other rooms and bringing portable heaters, and that’s the only reason I’m giving one star. Both rooms had the same problem: the AC wouldn’t work properly, it was freezing inside, and the unit made a horrible noise. We spent two hours waiting for the rooms to warm up and were still cold. The hotel is a long way from town, with heavy traffic, and there isn’t a restaurant you can reach on foot unless you’re willing to walk a long way. The bathroom smelled, and the beds squeaked. It was a complete disaster. I don’t understand how it’s still open as usual with so many good reviews. There was nothing comfortable about the stay.
