Eden Beach 2

Great.

Our apartment had been renovated with good taste, even though the building itself is old. The terrace looking out over the Mediterranean was a lovely extra.

The woman talked down to me when I came in for a pack of cigarettes. She said she’d rather deal with hundreds of euros’ worth of lottery tickets, so I’d have to wait, however long it took. I was prepared to wait at first, and I understand that sometimes it isn’t possible to serve someone quickly. Still, a shopkeeper with good business sense might try to move things along. Her remark about the much bigger profit margin was out of line.

At last, shopping there feels pleasant, since the staff changed. The welcome is warm and the space is laid out well, though it is a little small. Good luck with the construction along the seafront.
