Madame Vacances Résidence Les Terrasses de Veret

The apartments feel cramped and quite dated, and having to clean before checkout is a nuisance, especially when you’re relying on the previous guests to have cleaned properly. The location is the clear plus, right beside the green slopes, chair lifts, and funicular down to Flaine forum.

The rooms had what we needed and were good, and the location is ideal, close to the upper lifts and beginner area. A free funicular across the road takes you down to the lower lifts and restaurants. Check-in is limited to 8-11 and 4-7, though, and they hand over the sheets and towels at arrival, with guests expected to clean the room when they leave. It could be a fantastic place if the service were better.

Great views and easy access to the slopes made this a nice place for a couple. The pool, sauna, and outdoor jacuzzi were a welcome bonus.

The location was just perfect for getting onto the ski area, and you can ski back to within about 20/30m of the front door. A chairlift is very close, and everything in the village is roughly a five-minute walk away. My wife and I came to Les Terasses de Veret for a short ski weekend in January 2025, and we had a fabulous time. Claude and the reception team were incredibly warm and welcoming. They suggested some excellent local restaurants, and all three meals we had out were excellent. The apartment was very clean, had everything we needed, and the beds and living room were comfortable. We also loved the superb view. After skiing, we made good use of the indoor pool, sauna, and hot tub. The parking facilities were great too. We’ll be back!
