The owner was really friendly. It’s a lovely, quiet rural place right at the edge of the forest.

The kitchen is stocked with just about everything, from pots and pans to birthday candles, and we had the place to ourselves for the first two days, which made it feel really cozy. The host welcomed us warmly, and the rooms were very clean, with a particularly spacious shower. There are 8 rooms in the hotel, and its location is great. We even went for a swim in the pool despite the November weather. We’d seen some less positive reviews, but the host seems to have sorted out the issues. There’s still a little room to improve, though the value for money is excellent.

A quiet, very green setting, with quick access to the road and Fontainebleau. The ad matched what we found, and the kitchen, living room, and dining room worked well for our group of 11 adults. The beds were good quality, and each room had its own shower and toilet. Shame the weather didn’t cooperate.

For the price, this is one of the better places around Fontainebleau, especially with three large bouldering areas nearby: Apremont, Trois Pignons, and Bois Rond. The owner seems to have taken earlier comments about the hotel’s condition seriously. It was clean and tidy, with spacious rooms and private bathrooms. The shared kitchen and dining room were roomy too, and there’s a nice pool, table tennis, and a BBQ.
