The location makes this a convenient midpoint when we travel between Spain and Austria, and it makes the journey easier and more comfortable. We always try to stay here on those trips. The staff provide excellent service, the rooms are very clean, and it’s just what we need to get a proper rest before driving again the next day.

The room was too warm, but opening the window made it noisy. The toilet cistern kept running all night. Half asleep, I first thought it was the neighbours’ shower until I figured out where the sound was coming from.

It was a pretty affordable, normal hotel and it was good, apart from being woken up early at random by the cleaning crew for no reason.

The twin room worked fine for our one-night stay, and I’d stay at the Ibis Budget Archamps Porte de Geneve again. It’s a basic hotel, with comfortable beds and bedding, a separate toilet and shower, and a sink in the room beside the beds. For one person, the room would be ideal. For two, it’s a bit cramped, especially when it comes to privacy.
