The restaurant is worth trying. The food was homemade, tasty, and made with local produce. We felt welcome as soon as we arrived, and “bob”, the home mascotte, deserves a special mention. On our way back to the UK, we changed where we planned to stop and were glad we stayed at the family-run le saint hubert. It’s beside the Aube river in a quiet spot, and the spacious rooms are well equipped and comfortable. The town is worth a visit too, with a pleasant riverside walk, a nearby local boulangerie, and a market on Friday mornings. This was our first stay, and we’ll definitely book again.

We love stopping here on the way to or from the French Alps. It’s only 3.5 h from Calais, and the staff make you feel welcome. We stay in one of the suites, which is bright, spacious, well equipped, and spotlessly clean. The restaurant welcomes dogs, and the food is superb, with a good range of local wines. The terrace overlooking the river is a lovely place for an apéritif before dinner. Highly recommend!

Such a good stop that we came back on our return trip. They even provided the feather soft pillows we asked for, and the linens were lovely. The whole experience was a master class in looking after customers, from the warm welcome to the excellent food, all served with humour and charm.

This was our second stay while driving from the UK to Spain. The small town is friendly and has everything you need, and the location is handy for the motorway beside a lovely river. We bring our dogs, and each time the staff have given us a roomy space with direct access outside. They’re always welcoming, friendly, and helpful. 100% 10/10.

We had a studio with a river view, and it was excellent. The restaurant was a lovely surprise, with a nice setting, great food, and plenty of choice on the menu. Clement looked after us with attentive, professional service that never felt intrusive. The staff were friendly and professional too. A terrific little hotel, and we’ll try to book again next time we’re in France. Thanks for a lovely stay.
