Camping Soleil Sud

I used to spend every holiday here with my mother 10 years ago. The entertainment staff back then were always the same people and super friendly, so I still have wonderful memories. But the entertainment has declined year after year, and there's been less of it, while hygiene has kept getting worse. The pool was practically freezing. What a shame.

We stayed at the end of September, so there was no atmosphere, but that was understandable for that time of year. The campsite itself was clean and well maintained. Even at the end of the season, we got a very friendly welcome, and the staff were smiling, helpful and kind.

We've been here for eight days and I've complained six times because there are no lights in the toilets after 8 pm. Campers leave rubbish behind, and nobody comes to collect it. Our pitch is like Beirut, but they told us that wasn't a problem and that next year there would be more campers than mobile homes. There's no limit on the number of pitches, so everyone does as they please. For a four-star campsite, there's absolutely no comfort for campers. The water dispenser near our pitch is just a basic model, and there's no security at night. Our neighbors made noise until 5 am and nobody said anything to them. This isn't even the full list. It's a disaster, so please spread the word, photos included. There are much better places out there, and anyone saying something positive can only be family or friends. - Manuela

The pool was fine, but there was no lifeguard, and the park area and football pitch were in very poor condition. It's best to avoid the communal toilets and showers. There are no barbecues at the bungalows, so you have to use the barbecue areas, and the barbecue bins aren't emptied every day. There's no security at all, even at night. At check-in, reception had a sign saying they spoke Spanish, but the young man checking us in only spoke French and made no effort to understand us in Spanish. At checkout, staff inspected the bungalow and told us it needed a thorough clean for the next guest. They said they didn't have time to clean it themselves, and that we had to leave it spotless to get our €310 deposit back. They even took out the bathtub drain so we could clean out the hair left inside.
