I was looking back through travel memories and this place came to mind because of the amazing help we got. During an Interrail trip a while ago, my partner, a random traveler, and I were stranded in France at night, just over the border. A train strike in Spain left us with few ways to get out at that hour. We called lots of taxi companies and hotels in the area, but nobody could help. Then the owner of Le Pescadou drove an hour to collect us and another hour back. We slept fantastically and had a nice breakfast before continuing our way to the Netherlands. I apparently never left a review at the time, so here it is. To the owner, we’re still very grateful for that night.

We still enjoyed our one-night stay. The room was spotless and had a huge balcony, and the location was great, just minutes from the beach. The water pressure and temperature were excellent. The bathroom was tiny, which was inconvenient, though not a huge issue for us. Reception only opens at 17h, so checking in earlier wasn’t possible and the hours were a bit awkward. The price was very reasonable, bearing in mind it was off peak season in December.

For the price, this was really nice. The building is old and the rooms are basic, but the location is excellent, just a one-minute walk from the beach. Jack at reception was friendly, and the room was very clean with hot water.

The view was nice, and the room was clean enough, but the terrace was dirty and the WiFi didn’t work. In the morning, someone was asleep in the corridor on the 3rd floor, and there was a second suspicious person hiding behind the fire door on the 2nd floor. It seems like "others" know the electronic entry code. The place is very close to the tourist center, just 40 meters away. Private parking was fine, but cost 7.5 euro's extra.
