Mas Picton

A lovely place with everything you need to relax. The shared area is well equipped and comfortable, the bed was really comfortable, and the bathroom had a nice hot tub. There's also a cozy pool.

The beds were really comfortable, and the house is very well equipped. The property is nice overall, but there are some things that need attention. The rooms facing the pool were good, while the ones at the back weren't as nice. In one room we found a cigarette butt in a flower pot by the bed and stale crisps in a bowl by the bath. There was also a used razor in my child's en suite shower. That level of cleaning doesn't inspire confidence, especially in a Covid world. We'd asked for the pool to stay open, but it was covered and green. When I tested it myself, the free chlorine levels weren't safe for swimming, even if the water was cold. The WiFi was unusable, just half a meg, for the entire stay.

We had a bright room with a beautiful big terrace and two sun loungers, and breakfast was served until 10 am. The price was good for what we got. The place is charming, with a lovely view from the large living room and pool, and it's peaceful too. Such a warm, pleasant welcome, and a wonderful discovery. I'd recommend it and would be happy to return.

The peaceful surroundings had us eager to return. Mas Picton has spacious, comfortable accommodation with everything we needed, and its large grounds made for a relaxing family break. Being close to both the beach and the Spanish border was a real bonus, with the sea nearby and the region's rich cultural heritage to explore.
