La Cabane De Salin

It’s a small-town place with just two rooms, more like a bed and breakfast, except there’s no breakfast. There are tables and chairs in the yard, and an excellent bakery nearby. It’s very well connected for getting to the beaches.

A nice little place with just rooms, a shared bathroom, and a terrace. The staff were helpful.

The setup felt borderline to me. We were the only guests, but there are three bedrooms and just one shared bathroom, which could be worrying in season. All the rooms have the same key, too. When we arrived, there was no heating in the bedroom and no owner there either. Luckily, we had his phone number. The villa itself is simple, with no character, on a residential street. Our January 5th stay was average. The owner does what he can, but I wouldn’t recommend the place unless you have no other options.

The breakfast was generous, with fresh food, and was on par with some hotel breakfasts. Our room was beautiful, spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. It was more than adequate, though the place felt like neither a hotel nor a complete guesthouse. That didn’t bother us, and neither did the fact that we weren’t always greeted in person.
