There are lots of snowshoe hikes you can start from Arreau. We were twelve hikers and had a very pleasant stay in this comfortable, tastefully decorated gîte. It’s spacious enough for all twelve of us, and nothing was missing from the household equipment. Valérie, the caretaker, gave us a very warm welcome.

The garden is pleasant, and the house is close to the town center. Inside, it’s superb and has games plus all the kitchen gear you need for a great stay: a fondue set, hot stone grill, griddle, barbecue, and more. Amazing amenities, everything’s there.

The large living room is really pleasant, and we had a great weekend with friends. The cottage is beautifully renovated and sits high above Arreau with lovely views on both sides. It’s just the kind of place that works well for a weekend away, and I’d happily do it again.

A lovely cottage in a great spot, right where the Louron and St. Lary valleys begin.
