VVF Résidence Île de Ré Ars-en-Ré

There was a heating issue, which is a structural problem with VVF, but the staff made our stay excellent. The receptionist was exceptionally kind and helpful, and even checked in on us early on the evening of December 31st to see if everything was all right. Facilities matter, but the reception team's availability, kindness, and professionalism made a huge difference. Thank you, Madam, for your kindness and attention. I hope VVF has staff of your high professional and human caliber by 2026.

The apartments are affordable and nicely designed, and the staff gave us a warm welcome. They were very friendly and competent. The location is unique, right at the foot of the port of Ars and the Fier marshes. The apartment lacked a sofa and the TV was as small as a postage stamp, but that's not why you come here!

This holiday village suited us perfectly for a relaxing four-day stay on Île de Ré. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and there were board games for all ages. The bike parking was secure, sound didn't carry too badly between the accommodations, and the location at the junction of the cycle paths was ideal for exploring the island and watching magnificent sunrises.

After years of coming here, we’re done. Each visit seems less sanitary than the last, and on arrival we have to clean the microwave, dishwasher, and dishes ourselves. Maybe the cleaning staff need an eye doctor to spot the dust. Next year, we’ll stay somewhere else.
