The owner is really friendly and speaks English or French. It’s so quiet out here in the countryside, and it looks like a perfect fishing spot. You can rent a kanu or E-Bikes here too. I booked this lovely little place more or less blind and loved every second. I’ll absolutely stay here again.

We used this beautiful place as a stopover with friends and would thoroughly recommend it, whether you're passing through or planning a canoeing or cycling holiday. The old mill has been beautifully renovated and turned into accommodation. Our room was super comfortable and cool, with aircon in the family room, and the shower room was great. We also had dinner at the lovely BBQ area overlooking the area. The owner and his son were really hospitable and made us feel right at home.

Tim was a fantastic host, full of great advice about what to do and where to go. He was super responsive and a gentleman through and through. We spent 4 nights there with our 2 kids during the last week of May, and it was an ideal base for exploring the beautiful area, close to Saumur and on one of the Euro Velo routes. The property is an old water mill on the Thouet river, a great place to kayak and explore upstream. Tim also rents bikes and kayaks, which was a big plus. Just keep in mind that the property has stairs. That wasn't a problem for us, but it's useful to know. We'd definitely recommend this little gem, 5 stars all around!

The surroundings are so calm and beautiful, and Tim is a very welcoming owner with lots of creative ideas for making the place even better. The double room sits right above the river, which you can hear as you fall asleep and see from the shower. The moulin felt just like home, even better than home, in fact. My friend and I had booked one night, ended up staying two, and would have stayed longer if we could. Strongly recommended!

The excellent breakfast on the terrace, Tim and Grant's attention to detail, and the warm welcome all added to the lovely setting. The room was clean and comfortable, with unsurpassed views. We have no hesitation in awarding five stars. Tim is clearly invested in his quests and proud of the working mill he shares with guests. Our only worry is that we didn't have more time there. On a balmy evening, we sat on the terrace, shared a bottle of wine with Sheila (Tim's mum), put the world to right, and made true friends.
