The local food was a great find, with generous portions and seasoning just right. The waitress and owner were both very friendly and attentive to customers. Definitely somewhere I’d return to.

The welcome was pleasant, but I’m afraid that was the only highlight. 🫣 The decor is as austere as the food, which felt like cafeteria fare. The garbure, a hearty vegetable and meat stew, was good. But the pasta Bolognese was a disaster, just pasta and ground meat. Where was the Bolognese sauce? 😑 Dessert tasted mass-produced.

We just stopped in for hot drinks. We’d read that the place was “austere,” but we liked the café area. It was nice and clean, and the English customers gave us a friendly welcome 😁 We chatted with them and the owner, which made for an interesting conversation. We also petted the dogs 😊

We’ve been regulars at this little restaurant in the middle of a very pleasant village, so this visit was a real shame. Our table was reserved, but after ordering we waited almost an hour for a starter. Unlike the other tables, we weren’t offered the welcome terrine. The starter eventually arrived after an hour and was fine, simple but good. Then the duck breast, which I’d asked to have well done, was still rare. My lamb shank was burnt, though the waitress said that was normal. I had to order something else because it was inedible. When we paid, the chef didn’t apologize and seemed not to care, and there was no gesture either. This was our last time at the restaurant.
