We stayed in a nice ensuite room with air conditioning on our first day walking the GR10. We didn’t try the food. It’s about 10 minutes from the main trail and right beside the main road, but there’s a pleasant, quiet terrace for relaxing. It’s on the expensive side, though everything is clean and well managed, and the hosts are friendly.

The food was the highlight for me: lovely local produce, delicious meats, incredible smoked trout, and that gateau Basque from the local boulangerie is going to stay in my dreams. The wine selection was fantastic too. I was lucky to spend a weekend here with friends, and the whole stay felt perfect. Greg, Candice, Molly, and the rest of the staff were welcoming and polite, always smiling. The rooms are simple, but clean and comfortable. Ten out of ten, can’t wait to return!

We started our GR10 walk with a stay at Hotel Trabenia. Our room was simple and had everything we needed, and the prices were reasonable. Dinner was delicious, and breakfast came with fresh, local products from the region. The host was lovely and friendly, and the whole team was kind and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.

It’s a small, independent hotel popular with hikers, and the management were welcoming. Our room was on the small side, but very clean, with a comfortable bed. The restaurant is superb, with a great range of local food. We’d definitely stay again.
