The staff were kind, but the cleanliness really fell short. On our first night, we found hair and stains on the sheets, so they changed our room right away. The replacement room was very dusty too. We raised it at reception the next morning and were told it would be cleaned thoroughly, but when we came back that evening, the same dust and stains were still there. We were lucky to stay only two nights.

The room was clean and the receptionist was very friendly. They seemed to have a few toys or games. There wasn’t a water dispenser for drinking water, though, and the room lighting was quite dim.

The bed was super comfortable, the place was clean and tidy, and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was decent and the prices were affordable. There’s also indoor parking and a free electric car charger that worked perfectly. Good stuff.

Zero stars for Dominique. I went to the front desk to book a room, and she told me they were full and it wasn’t possible. The parking lot looked empty, so I checked online and saw plenty of rooms available. When I went back and showed her I could book online, she acted surprised while checking her computer and said there had been two cancellations. I guess she doesn’t like Americans.

This was our third time staying at Campanile, after visits to Rouen and Tours, and we’ve been pleasantly surprised each time by how clean it is and how good the value is compared with pricier hotels. The Aubagne rooms are very spacious, with modern decor and large bathrooms. We’ll definitely stay again.
