The hosts gave us a lovely warm welcome, and the evening meal was excellent. Aubeterre is easy to explore from here, and the river is close by too. I'd highly recommend it.

We had a beautiful meal on a very quiet patio right by the pool. The staff were attentive, and everything we tried was excellent, from every starter and main to dessert. I couldn't recommend it more.

The one good thing about Périgord hotel was its location. We were staying there for a family wedding at the local church, and were extremely disappointed by how damp, cold, and dirty the hotel was. At breakfast, the attendant hissed at us when we asked for more hot water for tea. We won't be coming back.
