The price felt just right, and I was really well looked after. The hotel is quiet and spotless, with plenty to reach on foot in Aubigny. It’s an old, historic building, but my room felt fresh and modern while still fitting the character of the village. The staff were so friendly. Definitely deserves five stars.

We came for a wedding rehearsal dinner at this lovely traditional French cottage. The food and wine were good, and there are rooms if you want to stay overnight. We were also lucky enough to catch the Saturday morning farmers market, an easy walk from the hotel. It’s close to downtown, too.

The owners and staff were attentive and charming, which made the whole visit even nicer. Our room was spacious and clean, and dinner was beautifully presented, with a real taste of French cuisine. The hotel and restaurant are right in the heart of Aubigny-sur-Nere. We’ll definitely come back for another lovely stay. A+

From the street, the hotel looks fairly modest. Most rooms are actually in the purpose-built buildings around the central courtyard, and they’re beautifully appointed.

The hotel itself was OK, but I wouldn’t recommend it. There’s no air conditioning, and the restaurant food is often terrible, especially the flan. I’ve stayed twice, and both times they charged me for services I hadn’t used.
