Le Nid Montagnard

This is a practical apartment for a small group of friends, though it could use more crockery, especially glasses. The view and surroundings described in the listings are overstated, too. Other buildings block much of the view in most directions, including a run-down old town center. The apartment is spacious and comfortable, but the finish is inconsistent: some areas are renovated very well, while others are lower quality, such as the second kitchen area and the upstairs bathroom faucet.

We spent the week exploring Val d'Azun, with stunning scenery and activities for all tastes. The gîte was just as described: roomy, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. We really appreciated the clean rooms and comfortable bedding. Benoît welcomed us warmly and gave us useful advice. We're already looking forward to coming back!

The house was bright, practical, and well-equipped, and the stay was very peaceful. It's a relaxing place surrounded by nature, with plenty of hiking trails nearby. We'd come back if we get the chance.

We came for four nights to explore the mountains and came away with memories we'll treasure. The chalets are roomy and comfortable, with a real change-of-scene feel, and the spot is close to resorts, activities, and villages. Benoît, the manager, was incredibly welcoming and gave us useful tips for getting the most from our holiday. I'd happily recommend it.
