The gîte is cozy and has everything you need, right in a central part of the valley that's great for hiking. The hostess gave us helpful route suggestions. We got a very warm welcome from our kind, friendly host. It was an excellent stay, and I hope this short visit is the first of many.

We stayed in the old barn, which was laid out really well and felt very nice. The big French doors give you a lovely view, and the wood stove is very effective in winter.

There were lots of thoughtful extras, from firewood for the fireplace to sleds, snowshoes, and indoor and outdoor play areas for kids. The owner was welcoming and attentive to our specific requests. We had a wonderful stay at Gîte des Terres Nères, in a spacious, beautiful home that keeps its authentic charm while being very comfortable. The peaceful setting was magnificent. We highly recommend it.

The host was so warm and friendly, and we had a wonderful family weekend. The large house is nicely decorated and has plenty of places to sleep, with a cot and two high chairs. There are games, a raclette grill, sleds, and snowshoes available for free. We also loved having the big garden and children's playhouse. The stair gates were a small but welcome extra. The holiday cottage was excellent.

We stayed in the small cabin retreat and loved it. It's minimalist, but has everything you need, in a superbly peaceful spot that's close to everything and away from the crowds. Highly recommend it if you're after a real escape.
