Hôtel Du Jura

Easy to get to, quiet, and clean, with moderate prices and a generous breakfast. There’s no restaurant on site anymore, which is a shame, but there are other places to eat in the center of Audincourt.

The building has some old-fashioned charm, though you do hear a bit more noise than you would in a newer hotel. Our room was large and spotlessly clean. There’s no elevator, so we carried our suitcases up to the second floor, but that was manageable for us since we’re not disabled. We stopped here overnight on the way to Germany. The hotel is around 8-10 minutes from the motorway exit and close to the Doubs River, about a 100-meter walk away. After dinner, we took a stroll by the river. The owner gave us a very warm welcome at 6:30 pm and opened the private gate so we could park safely. In the morning she made us breakfast with coffee, juice, croissants, white bread, and jams. Locals come to the restaurant for breakfast and a chat, which added to the friendly feel. We felt very welcome and would definitely stay again.
