The garden is beautiful, but the hotel's interior doesn't match the photos. Everything feels quite old, and you can hear your neighbors talking. Breakfast was poor, with little to choose from: overbaked croissants, three yogurt options, basic supermarket jam, bread, and butter. It may have been good in the 1990s or early 2000s, but it needs updating. Other hotels at the same price offer better service.

The lovely gardens and easy walk into Port St Goustan made this a great stay for the price. Parking was easy too. We'd definitely come back.

The garden is lovely for a stroll, and each morning I woke to the rich smell of fresh bread from the breakfast room. Staff were friendly and helpful, and keen to get you speaking French. It's a charming, slightly quirky family-run hotel with a very French feel. If you prefer chain hotels, it may not be for you, but it's well run and has plenty of character. The room was small, spotless, and amusingly eccentric in its decor. Ask for a garden-facing room if you want quiet. It's a lovely 10-minute walk to the picturesque harbour at Saint Goustan, with restaurants and bars. Recommended.

We got a warm welcome with lots of useful information, and the room was simple but clean, with good bedding. The harbour is a pleasant 10-minute walk away, with about a dozen bars, crêperies, and restaurants. Auray is a gem, and we'd be happy to return. This hotel was easily better than the four separate three-star places we stayed in this week. Recommended.
