Laurence was a wonderful hostess. The old house is lovely and set in a beautiful part of the world. We had both dinner and breakfast, and each meal was superb, with homemade dishes and local specialties.

The countryside was so peaceful, and we could head straight out from the house onto beautiful walking trails. We had a huge, beautiful family room with a queen bed and two twins, plus an amazing view over the valley. Lawrence was welcoming and patient with my terrible French. I’m so glad we found this lovely historic country house. Highly recommended.

The food was excellent on the evening we ate at the house. We were there for two days on a cycling trip with six friends, and got a warm, friendly welcome at Massigiux. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, peaceful, and stylish.

Laurence, the owner, was attentive, always available, and knew the area and the hiking trails in the Chaîne des Puys really well. The amenities were excellent. There’s just one little flaw, the fifth step on the gîte staircase creaks. That pretty much says it all about this fantastic place. We wholeheartedly recommend it. Véronique and Eflamm

We didn’t have long, but Laurence’s warm welcome and helpfulness made an impression. The rooms were spotless and very well equipped, the bedding was perfect, and we really enjoyed the breakfasts and meals. We’ll come back for a longer stay and explore more of your region.
