After trekking in La Vanoise, this was a perfect place to stay. The owner was really friendly and suggested some good restaurants, and breakfast had plenty to choose from at the delicious buffet.

The balcony is a real plus: it’s spacious, though shared with other guests, and the location near the church is very good. The shower had plenty of pressure, too. But the room was fairly small, the curtains let light through, and sleeping in may be hard. I’d requested two single beds through Booking and got a double instead. There was almost no air circulation in the bathroom. At €124 a night, it felt a bit steep given those downsides. The church bells also ring until 10 pm.

After skiing, it was lovely to relax by the beautiful fire in such a cosy atmosphere. The spa on the top floor is nice, though it could use some investment to look cleaner.

The rooftop spa was gorgeous, and breakfast was brilliant. Our room was comfortable and had a great view.
