The food was excellent, and our room was spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed. We picked the hotel because of its Michelin “bib gourmand” restaurant and weren’t disappointed. We visited in November, when the other diners seemed to be business people staying at the hotel, so the restaurant felt a bit subdued. It would likely be different in season. The quality for the price is excellent, and I’d highly recommend eating here or staying too if you’re in the area.

We only came for lunch. The place looked clean and tidy, parking is free just around the corner, and the staff were polite, attentive, and helpful. Most of our meal was very good and nicely presented, but the Market Menu Pork Curry was a real letdown. It was a few big chunks of pork and skin-on baby potatoes in watery sauce with barely a hint of curry spice. As local British residents, we’d hoped for a good curry made in France, especially given what we’d read about the chef. Some drinks were very expensive as well. Lunch for two, splitting the bill, came to €73, a lot compared with other restaurants. Would we go back? Possibly. I’d check the day’s menu first, since on some menus from previous weeks there might have been only one or two things each of us could eat. We eat out regularly at restaurants around the area.

We went to the restaurant after a family recommendation. Dogs were welcome inside. The menu was beautifully presented at €40, and we liked the atmosphere and the good service.

As always, we had a lovely meal. There was a great wine selection, and the staff were lovely.
