Château Meyre

We had a lovely stay and would happily return. The hotel feels relaxed, and the staff were very warm. The grounds out front are a great place to enjoy a couple of bottles of the excellent wine with one of the superb cheese and charcuterie boards. Our room was comfortable and classic without feeling worn or dated. It was in the original Château building, though some rooms are in the extension. Ours had no AC, but the shutters and a good tower fan kept it quite cool. The pool and gym are very good. We hired bikes, but only found out at checkout that they cost €25 each, which felt too expensive. The sandy vineyard paths also made riding hard work, so honestly, I would skip the bikes and walk instead. We took the vineyard tour and tasted Château Meyre and Gallen. It was quite short and not very comprehensive, so it felt like it should have been included in the stay. Breakfast was very good, with eggs made to order and local pastries. Self-service coffee machines are available throughout the day. We hope we can come back to this lovely spot.

The rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the staff were so lovely that we felt welcome right away. Louis, thanks for the brilliant tasting! It’s a beautiful chateau and a great base for wine tasting around the area. Highly recommend it.

Sophie was our hero. When our taxi to the train station was canceled, she offered us a ride, a kindness we won't forget. We had a wonderful stay at Chateau Meyre. The grounds were beautiful, and after arriving late in the evening we enjoyed a delicious, huge plate of cheeses, meats, and fruit, along with the Chateau's wine. The room was cozy, and the shower had nice pressure. Breakfast was great, and we spent some time relaxing and reading outside in the sun. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

The nearby road gets loud and busy, so keeping the windows shut helped. We stayed in the spacious Gaia room on the first floor, which had a bathtub, tea and coffee service, fluffy robes and towels, plus a chaise and desk. The beds were comfortable, and we enjoyed relaxing by the pool after riding in on horses. The grounds are lovely and inviting. Breakfast was generous, with pastries, breads, yogurt, meats, cheeses, and eggs.
