Chateau De Chazelles

We had a wonderful week. The place was perfect, and so was the host!

The castle setting is magnificent. We stayed there with several couples of friends, and Charles was welcoming, flexible, and helpful the whole time.

The children had fun in the unheated pool, and we spent an evening playing in the recreation room. We also played kubb on the big lawn, though we never got around to using the pétanque court. Every evening brought a beautiful sunset, and the friendly owner gave us a tour of the chateau. There’s plenty to do nearby. We had a lovely week with plenty of space and peace around the idyllic chateau. Our charming old house next door had everything we needed, though the cleaning could have used a few finishing touches.

We were 18 adults and children, and there was room for everyone. Each bedroom was spacious and had its own bathroom, while the big kitchen was equipped well enough to cook for the whole group. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. There’s a large park, a pool shallow enough to feel safe for toddlers, and game rooms with billiards, foosball, ping pong, plus a theater stage. The secluded château is also well placed for exploring this beautiful region in summer. We noticed a few flies near the end of our stay, but hardly any mosquitoes. I’d highly recommend it.
