The food deserves a mention all on its own. Every meal was incredible, especially the duck confit, our favorite. Bryan is a talented chef as well as a wonderful host, and he and the staff gave us thoughtful, attentive hospitality that made us feel at home. This was our second time at Bastide de Bellegarde, and it was just as special as the first. The house is warm, cozy and beautifully designed, with lovely antiques throughout. We always choose the balcony room, which is spacious and has a stunning view. Any season is a good time to visit Bastide and the Avignon area. We can't recommend it enough.

My sister and I spent four unforgettable nights here, enjoying Brian's wonderful company and the charm of his beautiful château. The hospitality from Brian and Bastide De Bellegarde is unmatched. The beds were supremely comfortable, and everything from the fine art to the food showed care and warmth. If you get the chance to stay, don't hesitate. You'll leave refreshed and inspired, with a renewed sense of how full of wonderful surprises life can be.

Bastide de Bellegarde was a wonderful surprise and the highlight of our trip to southern France. The peaceful grounds are beautifully maintained, with distinctive, interesting decor, and it's only a few minutes from Avignon's city center. There aren't many rooms, so the setting feels intimate. Brian made us feel relaxed and welcome as soon as we arrived, and upgrading our room was a lovely surprise. Every meal was outstanding. Brian offered delicious, thoughtfully prepared dinners each night, and the complimentary breakfast was a great start to each day. It was such a unique experience that we're genuinely sad to have left. We can't wait to return or share the place with friends and loved ones. We couldn't recommend it more.

The food was some of the best we've ever eaten, and they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our quiet, comfortable room was wonderful too. The Bastide is gorgeous, like stepping into a painting, and the whole property is stunning. Brian took care of everything we could need. He knows so much about France and food, which made the stay even more memorable. This has been the highlight of our trip, and it's absolutely the best place to stay in the Provence area.

We borrowed bikes, a nice touch, and the ride to Avignon took exactly 15 minutes along cycle paths. We also enjoyed sitting outside by the pool in Provence's perfect climate. Our room was sensational, and the Bastide has been renovated beautifully. Brian is a lovely man and such a personal host. He looked after us royally with wonderful food, cheeses and wine, all selected and prepared by him and his team. Thanks, Brian. See you soon! Dom & Jen
