Chapelle du Miracle

It’s a restored chapel that’s been divided into rental apartments. Lovely and clean, though if you’re tall you may need to watch your head in places.

The location worked perfectly for Avignon and exploring Provence. We hired a car and had an off-street parking space. Antoine and Alexane made us feel welcome and were helpful even before we arrived. The accommodation was beautifully designed and spacious, with a kitchen, two bedrooms, and a separate toilet. We highly recommend it as a great place to stay.

We’ve stayed here several times, and although it’s now under new management, the energetic, hardworking couple are dedicated to providing a high-quality place. We spent three weeks there, and it was perfect for getting around on foot. Historic sites, Michelin-starred and other good restaurants, Les Halles, the Saturday marché, and several grocery stores are all within walking distance. Parking is included, which is truly valuable in a compact city, though we hardly used the car. The apartment is gorgeous and medieval, with thick stone walls, classic archways, and winding stairs that make it feel over 500 years old. It’s also been fitted out with modern comforts like a dishwasher and washing machine. Everything was spotless and well maintained, and it made a fun base for exploring Provence. We love Avignon too. It feels just the right size, without Paris’s crowds, and has so many cultural and historic places, top-notch fromageries and boulangeries, and boutique shops. Even a casual walk brings a surprise around every corner. Such a beautiful medieval city!

The host was kind and generous throughout our stay, and the rooms are carefully designed to preserve the historical charm. It’s an Airbnb with character and history, close to Avignon’s main streets. I’d highly recommend staying here if you’re in Avignon.
