Residence Pierre et Vacances Atria - Crozats

The flats are new, spacious and well equipped, with a ski room leading straight to the slopes. Bars and shops are within walking distance, and the location is excellent. It felt a bit clinical and lacked charm, though, and there wasn’t a proper oven. The sauna and steam room were great, and ordering fresh baguette, croissants and pain au chocolat for breakfast was lovely. Arrival and departure went smoothly. Reception staff were friendly and professional, but we had a long wait to speak to someone. They took their time with each guest, which was nice, though it made the queue slower.

We were without hot water for three days. When we asked about it, we were told to shower in an hour, or maybe the next morning. That’s ridiculous. Hot water is a basic part of what we paid for, not a luxury. The six-person apartment is cozy and nice, if a little small, and Atria Crozats is in an excellent location. The four-person apartment, though, is extremely cramped and doesn’t even have a double bed. We also had to pay €100 after losing a room key, which we explained had fallen between the ski chairs. As soon as we reported it, Gaelle bluntly said we’d have to pay. There was no empathy or effort to help. When we asked whether they might consider a small discount given the lack of hot water, Gaelle replied in a very arrogant tone, “That’s not how this works.” Most staff were great, but Gaelle was rude and dismissive about both issues. Reception closes at 8:30 pm, so after that there’s basically nobody to contact if something goes wrong. There are charges for everything: you have to remove the bed sheets yourself at checkout or pay, and making the bed costs extra. It’s honestly insane. They wouldn’t give us a late checkout, but offered to store our bags instead. The luggage room was shocking, just a small space with everyone’s cases piled on top of each other. If your bags went in early, getting them back later meant climbing over the piles. There was no security either, so anyone could walk in and take things.

The apartment was quiet, warm and cozy, and it’s right by the slopes with easy ski in, ski out access. The beds were a bit uncomfortable, though.

We stayed in the Atria building. The rooms were very basic, with just towels, one roll of toilet paper and dish soap, and certainly not luxurious. The staff weren’t especially helpful or polite. I remember Mrs. Gael in particular, who was unfriendly and had a sour expression. We won’t stay at this hotel again.
